How It All Started

No Budget Films is an initiative born from an Arab woman's dream of progressing cinema in the Arab region and was established in 2004. The NBF dream has been inspired from the lack of support for the film industry in Jordan which has lead a group of people under the direction of An Arab Female - namely Ghada Saba - to be creative and serious with their aims towards reaching their goal; which was, of course, enhancing the Jordanian film industry on their own initiative in their own country.


Mission

The Foundation's mission is based on making films with low budget. We at No Budget Films (NBF) aim to sponsor young director's film making process at low cost through promoting this initiative to large corporations that can fund the project. This initiative is directed towards young director's first trial of film making in order to overcome the difficulties they may encounter with financial responsibilities, and pours to a greater cause which is supporting young artists in fulfilling their dream.


Our Goals

- To create a solid foundation for Jordanian Cinema - Generating awareness on the importance of cinema in recording the nation’s history, societal and cultural progression and problems.
- To support innovative Jordanian young directors/producers in film making, free from financial constraints
- Inspiring the film progression movement in Jordan, until we have a good platform for cinema in our nation


What We've Done So Far

- “A No End Story” a Jordanian film produced with NBF in cooperation with Pioneers Production Company (PPC). The premiere was attended by leading figures in the regional film and cinema industry. It was coved widely by International and local media. The film got distributed in Washington DC, Seattle and Florida, it was also screened for the Arab Diaspora in Toronto, Canada.

- NBF has been known to work and develop workshops with different production houses, and awareness films producing and foundations.

- Love Lebanon… a project aimed at supporting Lebanon in the war crises. In corporation with Rania Kurdi, a music video was produced and shown on major music channels as well as other free to air channels.
