"The Walk" 07 -  Activities and Events

Below is a brief outline of the activities and events that will be accompanying The Walk, which is the main event. If you require more detailed information, please contact us through our website form and we will be happy to address any of your queries.

The Walk:
The main event of this great initiative. The Walk 07 will take place in Aqaba, Jordan.

Workshops:
A workshop takes place as part of “The Walk” activities. In 2007, A screenwriting workshop by renowned Arab director Khairy Beshara will take place at AlBalad Theater from the 18th – 23rd of January. To find out more, click here.

The Forum:
A three day conference that discusses different issues regarding filmmaking in Jordan, for more information about the forum, click here. “The Walk… Forum” will take place at Al-Balad Theatre From 15th – 17th February 2007. The main topic of concerns for this year’s forum is: Finding solutions for independent film production in the Arab world..

First Film Production Contest:
A contest promoting young directors and screenplay writers will be held prior to the March. The contest will enable all participating artists to contribute their work to an elected steering committee which shall select the best 2-3 scripts to be produced by no budget films.
